Jeanette Abbink and Emily CM Anderson have penned 3D Typography as a reaction to the fact that so much of todayıs typography is conceived via screens. Like Gutenberg and generations of typeface designers who worked with physically shaped lead type the featured artists in the book return the literal heft to letters. Join the authors and three contributors, Bela Borsodi, Keetra Dean Dixon and JK Keller as they share the concept and origin of the book, funny anecdotes of their journey, and a showcase of mind-blowing 3D typography projects.

Copies of 3D Typography are available for purchase and signing at the event.

Jeanette Abbink opened the design studio Rational Beauty in 2008. Prior to opening Rational Beauty, Abbink was the founding creative director of Dwell magazine. She has also served as a designer and art director for numerous magazines, including The New York Times , the sports magazine Play , American Craft and Martha Stewart Living .
Graphic designer Emily CM Anderson was selected as an Art Directors Club Young Gun 6 in 2008. She has worked for magazines such as Dwell and American Craft, and co-designed the book Brooklyn Modern for Rizzoli.
Bela Borsodi was born in Vienna 1966. He was given this Hungarian name because his father admired the composer Bela Bartok. He studied fine arts and graphic design before becoming a photographer. He moved to New York in 1992 and since 1999, has focused on still photography.
Keetra Dean Dixon is a designer and artist working under the handle FromKeetra. Her socially-themed messaging, objects and installations have gained notoriety for their friendly absurdist and whimsical tone. Keetra Dean was born in Anchorage , Alaska in 1977. She currently resides in New York City .
JK Keller is an artist, designer and obsessive-compulsive. Through his New York based-studio practice, he creates work that lies near the intersection of design, code, and craft. By dictating logical (logic does not beget sense) systems, his work focuses on transcending the everyday via the every day.
In its second season, the program series An Art Book is a celebration of the essential importance and beauty of art books. The events showcase book presentations by world renowned and emerging artists, critics, curators, designers, historians and writers.
