I'm investigating a proposal to make our library a clearing house for information on our university's architecture. Like many institutions, architectural information (floor plans, commissioning reports, architect's documentation, realia) are scattered between our university archives, facilities maintenance, Office of the Architect, etc. Concerns about scanning and posting this information range--depending upon the agency--from security issues to copyright.

Are there ARLIS members who have constructed virtual collections of material dealing with their institution's historic architecture that could give me advice or show me examples of your sites?

On or off the listserve or via phone.

Gratefully,

Lee Sorensen
