I hate to do this, but can anyone advise on whether the second edition of John T. Spike's "Caravaggio" (2010) is different enough from the first edition (2001) that a non-specialist library should purchase it? The Folger has the first edition (including the CD-ROM) but it has only been charged three times since we got it, and I'm trying to make the reduced budget stretch as far as possible.

Many thanks,

  Erin.
