Hello, I would like to thank Catherine Granger from the Service des bibliothèques et archives des musées nationaux de France and Joseph M. Shubitowski Head, Library Information Systems from the Getty Research Institute for looking for the auction catalogue we were searching for Rudolph Lepeke's Kunst Auction, on April 26th, 1938., lot 244 (Gerrit van Honthorst, Das Duett, 73 x 94 cm.) . The painting we were looking for was not mentioned in that sale so we are back to square one. We think the painting might have been sold in Berlin on April 26 , 1938 by Auction Leo Spik, Would someone have this catalogue and would be willing to send us a photocopy of lot 244.
