We are currently investigating systems to use for reservations and circulation of small equipment (digital cameras, video projectors, notebook computers, etc.).  This is institution-wide -- not just the library -- so we have quite a bit of equipment to track.
 
The WebCheckout system looks ideal since it was designed with art schools in mind, but the price is a bit staggering for us.  I'm wondering what systems are in use at other institutions that might serve the same purpose?  We really want our students to be able to access the system to make their own equipment reservations, but patron-initiated reservations seems to be a feature lacking in many other systems we've investigated.
