In this event New York ’s renowned event planner and designer, David Stark of David Stark Design and Production, will inspire us with a visual tour and discussion of his firm’s most public and celebrated projects. He focuses on pushing the boundaries of event design into the realm of cutting edge installation art, while also concentrating on eco-friendly approaches. He often incorporates everyday materials and recycled items into his designs. Stark and his team are known for the innovative, imaginative events they create for a wide range of high-wattage celebrity clients such as Beyoncé Knowles and Jon Stewart, major corporations such as Target, TBS and Condé Nast, as well as high-visibility fund-raising galas for the nation’s most elite not-for-profit organizations including The Museum of Modern Art and The Robin Hood Foundation.

David Stark Design is a visually stunning monograph that documents David Stark Design and Production’s design philosophies, conceptual process, and breadth of work put forth since the Company’s inception in 2005.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and the School of Visual Arts , David Stark began his career as a painter before starting his own business as an event designer. His previous books include Napkins with a Twist (Artisan, 2006), To Have & to Hold: Magical Wedding Bouquets (Artisan, 2005), and Wild Flowers: Projects and Inspirations (Clarkson Potter).

The program series An Art Book is a celebration of the essential importance and beauty of art books. The events showcase book presentations and discussions by world renowned artists, critics, curators, historians, and writers.
