Dear Membership,
In February 2010 the ARLIS/NA Executive Board
re-appointed a Strategic Planning Committee to develop the next five-year plan
(2011-2015). The new Committee consists of Patricia Barnett, Chair; Jon Evans,
Board Liaison; and Committee Members: Hannah Bennett, Eumie Imm-Stroukoff,
Jamie Lausch, Barbara Rockenbach and Eric Wolf. At their initial meeting in
Boston, current issues were discussed; over the next few months the Committee
will seek input from the Membership in order to develop a plan that meets the
economic and technological challenges facing our profession today. The goal is
to have a completed Strategic Plan for 2011-2015 by late December.
