Received this from the former Chair of the Art
Department at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI. Perhaps this

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: ARTPRIZE 2010 Artist registration
closes May 27
As a part of our commitment to groundbreaking creative
practices and the advancement of artistic careers, the Urban Institute
for Contemporary Arts (UICA) invites artists to submit proposals to
ArtPrize 2010, an international exhibition featuring the worldÆs largest
art prize.
UICA is seeking proposals for all types of media,
especially site-specific work and outdoor sculpture.
Last year,
$449,000 was awarded to artists and more than 334,219 votes were cast
during the 16-day event. ArtPrize is a radically open competition and
citywide exhibition. ArtPrize is open to all media and is available
to any artist who can secure an approved location to show their
work.
This year, UICA is one of six Exhibition Centers for ArtPrize and
is the only Institutional Sponsor. UICA will offer 30+ gallery spaces
for exhibitions by ArtPrize artists, at two locations. All work for UICA
will be juried by
professional curators.
