Come Shopping in Boston
By all means visit Faneuil Hall<http://www.faneuilhallmarketplace.com/?q=node>, the Prudential Center<http://www.prudentialcenter.com/>, and the glamorous Newbury Street<http://www.newbury-st.com/> but also make some time to check out the cool and designy stores popping up in Fort Point, the neighborhood abutting the conference.
            • Made in Fort Point: The FPAC Store<http://www.fortpointarts.org/cgi-bin/FPAC?s=shop> (FPAC = fort point artists community)
            • Front<http://www.bostonmagazine.com/shopping_style/articles/how_to_shop_front/>
            • Birch and Willow<http://birchandwillow.com/>

Suggestions from the very stylish Linda Zeiper (Umass Dartmouth) are: Black Ink<http://www.blackinkboston.com/> and the Museum of Useful Things<http://themut.com/> in Harvard Square and (for those who do not wear my shoe size--8 1/2) George's Shoe<http://www.yelp.com/biz/georges-shoe-store-jamaica-plain>s in Jamaica Plain, small very unpredictable collection of very nice shoes very cheap! Darin Murphy from the School of the Museum of Fine Art’s recommends the Garment District<http://www.garmentdistrict.com/> and Newbury Comics<http://www.newburycomics.com/> for new and used DVDs. MassArt folks say check out Harvard Square<http://www.harvardsquare.com/shops.aspx> too-- especially Raven Used Books<http://www.ravencambridge.com/> and Mint Julep<http://www.shopmintjulep.com/>.
