Never
attended an ARLIS/NA annual conference before? Attended
once but would like to get more out of it?
If so, consider taking part
in the Conference Networking Program to get the most of your conference
experience. For newcomers, it’s a fast way to meet people and learn about
the profession.
Seasoned
conference attendee?
Volunteer to show first or
second time attendees the ropes by sharing your experiences with sessions,
committee meetings, SIGS, the vendor hall and much, much more! For ARLIS/NA
veterans, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet and help welcome new
colleagues into the profession.
Networkers will be matched
with mentors by the Program Coordinator based on information supplied by you in
the registration form such as subject area interest and library type. You will
both be informed of your match before the conference so that contact and
arrangements to meet can be made prior to the conference.
Mentors should make sure
you both meet within the first or second day at the conference, discuss the
structure and workings of the Society, share conference-attending tips, and
introduce networkers to colleagues whenever possible throughout the conference.
Most who take part in this program find it a rewarding experience that builds
new and lasting friendships.
Interested? Please fill out
and submit this form by April 10, 2010.

Please direct questions
about the program to Sarah Falls. Please note that this is not the year-long
mentoring program, and will only cover the annual conference.
