Cleveland Public Library has a nice "Checklist for Property Research in Cleveland & Cuyahoga County" that our History Dept put together -  I use it all the time when students & researchers are studying cleveland architectural history and when locals are looking for information about their home.

see   http://bus.cpl.org/?q=node/9   and there is a link to the guide itself

You can use the concept of the guide and adjust it to identify local institutions -

I have also found plans in GOOGLE BOOKS such as the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland -

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Building plans and blueprints

Hola, arlistas. I have a professor and many architectural students who are asking me about locating blueprints and building drawings. I've given them the usual line about blueprints being proprietary, and certain books on
famous architects/buildings possibly having floor plans, but they still hope against hope that such items can be found online.

Can anyone who's dealt extensively with architecture students and their needs advise? Are there sources of which I'm unaware which might help out? In local cases, they can try and contact the architects, but in other cases
a different professor has assigned students to go and find the plans for a new civic center in ___________, an assignment which strikes me as totally unrealistic. Students are also having trouble getting license to include
building photographs in their theses.

Any advice, please?
