Dear ARLIS members,

I have been contacted by a great-granddaughter of the illustrator Walter Hunt Everett (1880-1946), an alumnus and long-ago former faculty of my institution back when it was called the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art (PMSIA). In addition to his studies at PMSIA, Everett was also a student of Howard Pyle and so is considered a member of the "Brandywine School" of illustration.

Do any of you know of any collections with a significant number of Walter Hunt Everett works? The great-granddaughter lives in Napa, CA, and is planning a trip to Philadelphia in April (I've advised her to visit the UC Berkeley and California College of the Arts libraries before she comes here). I've sent her material from Who Was Who in American Art, The Brandywine Tradition, The Illustrator in America 1860-2000, and have sent her a good number of Web links to sources such as Illustration House in New York, where Everett was featured in a 1988 exhibition.

Thanks in advance!

Sara
