Hello ARLIS! I am not only new to ARLIS, but also new to art librarianship, so I can't wait to see what all I can learn from you! My art background is actually in studio art (I concentrated in painting at Northwestern University), which I imagine is the more unusual way of getting into art librarianship. I've spent the last four years in Special Collections at the University of Maryland (where I also got my MLS in 2007) before becoming a Research and Instruction Librarian at Georgetown University. My bibliographer duties are in Art, Art History, and Museum Studies. My other interests outside of art and librarianship are yoga and (vegan) cooking. I'm excited about going to the annual conference, and look forward to meeting some of you there. For the sake of my division head: if there is anyone else looking to split a room, please email offlist! Also, if there are any other vegans in ARLIS that want to gather in search of food, please let me know! See you all in April!
