Florence in partnership with SACI - will enrich you perspectives on art, art and
museum
librarianship and conservation and London Summer School and Bloomsbury
conference
will give you new insights into the world of digital publishing
and
digital curation.
Our London program in partnership with
University College London,
Department
of Information, is unique in its design in that it culminates with the
Bloomsbury
Conference - this year's theme,
"Valued Resources, New Roles
and
Responsibilities for Curators and Publishers." The conference brings together
leaders
in publishing, academic libraries and distinguished LIS faculty.

FLORENCE: May 21
– June 19 in Partnership with SACI School of Art in FLORENCE
A
6-credit program: two 3-credit courses:
1)
Florentine Art & Culture, Museum & Library Research & Documentation
and
2)
Cultural Heritage Conservation taught by leading Italian conservators

FLORENCE PROGRAM COSTS:
•
Tuition: $5,760 ($2,880 X 2 = SILS regular tuition for two 3-credit courses
•
SACI International activity fee: $400
•
Housing: SACI apartment - $1,470 (May 21- June 19)
•
Travel: RT Florence about $850 (students make their own arrangements)
LONDON: Summer School & 4th Bloomsbury Conference on
E-Publishing – June 14-25
in
Partnership with University College London, Department of Information- a
3-credit program

LONDON PROGRAM COSTS:
•
Tuition - $2,880 (3-credit course) regular Pratt-SILS tuition for a 3-credits
•
International fee: London: $200
•
A special London benefit: The Bloomsbury Conference fee is waived for students
and includes conference lunches & final dinner.
•
Housing at UCL: Astor College Dorm, private single room, 30 pounds per night
includes English breakfast.
•
Travel – about $750 RT London – Note - students make their own
travel reservations.
•
The program includes day trips to Cambridge, Oxford, the British Library and
various London publishers.
SILS
PARTNERSHIP WITH UCL: The
London course is taught by the faculty of
UCL
Department of Information. This gives students a special opportunity to study
with
recognized
leaders in information science research and in e-publishing.
