Colleagues,
This is a call for nominations for the Worldwide Books
Award for Publications. The purpose of the Award for Publications is to
recognize outstanding publications by ARLIS/NA Individual members in librarianship
or visual resources curatorship, and the arts. By recognizing special
achievement in these areas this Award acknowledges and encourages scholarly
publication by the ARLIS/NA membership. Recipients may receive awards ranging
from a certificate of merit to a cash award of up to $1500. The work must have
been published during the 2008 or 2009 calendar year. For the 2009 awards, all
calendar year 2008 publications and any 2009 publications whose nominations are
postmarked by the February 1st, 2010 nomination deadline will be eligible.
Guidelines and application form are available on the Awards and Honors page of
the ARLIS/NA website.
Sincerely,
