Hi all,
Stacy Brinkman and I are hoping to put together a little group who might prepare a document comparing the holdings of this new collection with some of the other top databases. We're looking for a few more volunteers to help spread out the work. At this point, we're envisioning preparing a spreadsheet with the results.
If you've already spent some time on this, have information that could be useful, or if you'd be willing to help, please get in touch! It doesn't make sense for us all to compile the same information on our own!
All the best,

I believe that someone asked this question awhile ago, and I apologize for asking it again. We are going to look at this new database through Ebsco. Currently we have Art Abstracts through Ebsco. It is not the complete full-text of Art Index nor is it retrospective (our Art Abstracts subscription stops at 1984). Have any of you subscribed to this new Ebsco database? How do you find its coverage? How does it compare to Art Abstracts/Index? Is Art Index full-text through Wilson very expensive, or is it something you think we should consider? (I think when we priced this before it was very expensive, which is why we went with Art Abstracts.) Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. You may respond to me off the list.
Sincerely,
Sandra
