Dear all, Just a follow up to the renewal reminder for 2010. We wanted to correct an error listed in step #4 below. When renewing your membership or updating your profile, it is your MAILING Address (not your Billing Address) that will appear in your profile in the online Member Directory. For those of you who have already renewed, you may log into the members-only area at any time to check your Mailing Address and update your member profile. Just go to www.arlisna.org <http://www.arlisna.org> and click on the "Member Log-In" link in the upper right corner of the page. Once you are logged in, click on the link to "Update your membership profile." We also wanted to clear up an issue with the Member Directory, which a few members had reported. Last week, TEI identified a bug that was preventing Communication Preferences from saving correctly in the renew and profile update forms, thereby affecting which profiles could be searched in the Member Directory. Over this past weekend, TEI applied bug fixes and performed a systems upgrade to the membership database, which unfortunately caused an outage of service to the members-only area. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused any members trying to log in. However, the Member Directory and web forms should now be working normally and we will continue to keep you updated with any developments. If you encounter any other issues, please feel free to contact the ARLIS Membership Department by phone (800-817-0621 or 414-908-4957 ext. 115) or email ([log in to unmask]). Just as a reminder, the only profiles that will be searcheable in the Member Directory are those of active ARLIS/NA members - i.e. current members whose memberships will expire in 2009 and those members who have already renewed for 2010. To keep your profile active and findable in the online Member Search, please remember to renew by December 31, 2009. Please also note that your profile will only appear in the Member Directory if you checked "Yes" next to the following option when renewing your membership or updating your profile: "Yes! I would like to be listed in the online Member Directory and the ARLIS/NA Handbook and List of Members." If you checked "No," your profile will not appear in the search results. Dear Colleagues, It is time to renew your ARLIS/NA memberships for 2010. By now, all current members should have received an email indicating that it is time to renew. We want to thank current members for their participation and hope that you will continue to support the Society with your renewal. Given the challenging economic climate, your support of the Society is crucial to the health and vitality of our profession. Membership dues have not increased for 2010. As a member, you will continue to receive a discount on conference registration fees, which have also remained the same from previous years. So, please remember to renew your membership by December 31, 2009. You are now able to renew your membership and pay your dues online. Thanks to the efforts of TEI, a new system has been put in place to replace MemberClicks. The renewal process is easy and convenient. Just follow the instructions below: 1. Go to https://www.arlisna.org/renew.taf - You can also go to www.arlisna.org and click on the "Member Log-In" link in the upper right corner of the page. 2. Login with your email address and password. - This is the same email address and password that you used last year. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the "I forgot my password" button in the login page. Submit your email and you will automatically receive a message that contains a new password. Login with this temporary password and then reset your password. 3. Click on the link to "Renew your membership online." 4. Review your membership information and make sure your profile is up-to-date. - Please note that your Billing Address will appear in your profile in the member directory. If you notice any errors, please contact the ARLIS Membership Department ([log in to unmask]). 5. Submit the renewal form and your payment. - You may either pay online by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover only), or send a check by mail to: ARLIS/NA, 7044 S. 13th St., Oak Creek, WI 53154. 6. Once your renewal is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation, which will serve as your receipt. As you are going through the renewal process, please report any problems to the ARLIS Membership Department by phone (800-817-0621 or 414-908-4957 ext. 115) or email ([log in to unmask]). They will work directly with you to resolve any issues. Once you have successfully renewed, please feel free to return at any time to the members-only area of the ARLIS/NA web site to update your member profile or search the member directory.
