Since I’ve had a couple of inquiries about how open
our chapter meeting is to non or lapsed members, let me just say that the meeting
is open and all are welcome! The only restriction for this particular meeting is
that only members will be able to vote in the election, but that only takes up
a couple of minutes of the meeting. And it’s easy to un-lapse your
membership (no pressure).
The fall meeting of ARLIS-Delaware Valley Chapter will be
held in the Skyline Room (on the 4th floor) at the Central Library
of the Free Library of Philadelphia, 1901 Vine St., Philadelphia, PA on Friday,
October 16, 2009. We’ll gather for coffee and pastry at 9:15 and start
our business meeting at 9:30 a.m. After our meeting we’ll have a tour of
the Library’s new green roof, followed by a tour of the Art Department
and Print & Picture Collection. We should finish about noon and those
available can have lunch together at a nearby restaurant.

drive, bring quarters for the parking meters and note that the 12 hour meters
in the 2000 and 2100 blocks of the Ben Franklin Parkway and 2000 block of Callowhill
