Hello all,

EBSCO developed a spreadsheet comparing coverage overlap with Art & Architecture Complete. I forwarded your emails along to our EBSCO rep so that she can provide the list with information. She also recommended that people get in touch with their reps for more information. As an aside, my school has both Wilson's Art Full-text and Art & Architecture Complete and there has been enough difference in usability and content to merit having both.

Regards,
Michelle

Subject: Re: [ARLIS-L] Query for ARLISNA: EBSCO's Art & Architecture Complete

All,

This would be a great opportunity for a collaborative project, I think. Could we get together an interested group of individuals who could create a spreadsheet comparing coverage? Many hands make light work!

Dear Colleagues,

I had posted this query on the ARLISNY listserv last week and got a very helpful response from Ted Goodman. I was wondering if anyone else in ARLISNA had any thoughts on the following.

We are currently evaluating Ebsco’s Art & Architecture Complete which, according to the vendor, provides full-text coverage of more than 250 periodicals, and indexing and abstracts for more than 630 academic journals, magazines and trade publications.

We are having a difficult time assessing how the coverage (titles, dates and full-text availability) of this product compares with that of databases to which we already subscribe, such as Art Index, for instance.

If anyone has any information or advice, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
