I am interested in learning the current practice in art museum libraries, historical homes/sites, and historical societies/archives regarding software used for collection management and library book collections. Do you use a standalone library software application to manage the library collection? OR Do you use collection management system (e.g., PastPerfect, Eloquent Systems, Gallery Systems, others?) which includes a library component for managing the library book collection? We have a standalone library system (Follett) for our 10,000 volume library collection and use TRIO for collection management. Your comments on advantages or disadvantages on using a single or multiple software systems are appreciated. Thank you for your time. Frank Frank D.
