Good morning.

Desgodets was a 17th/18th c. French architect known for documentation of classical architectural monuments in and around Rome. Two editions of his "Les edifices antiques de Rome" were digitized from the libraries of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. The original 1682 French edition documents 25 antique structures. After Desgodets' death, a 2-volume edition was published in London in 1771, with text in both French and English. In order to provide English text as eighteenth century readers could have experienced it, Volume One of the London edition, covering the first 12 buildings, was also digitized.

If your faculty, students or colleagues would find these texts useful, please do pass this information on. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome, along with mention of any problems you encounter.
Best,
--Linda
