May I ask for your opinion of the relative value of the online Sotheby's, Christie's, and Bonham and Butterfield's compared to the print? Our library is struggling to adjust to a 20% reduction in our materials budget. A large chunk of it goes to our subscriptions to these auction catalogues. We have the Getty Research Institute nearby for catalogues older than our 5 year holdings. But now I must justify our standing orders for the print subscriptions. So far our subscriptions to Art Fact Pro, Art Sales, and Art Price databases are safe. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
