This year’s Forum will focus on Convergence: Where Metadata and Access Meet for Digital Discovery and Delivery. The Forum will feature national experts from the archival, museum, and library communities who will discuss current projects and initiatives exploring creation of metadata for digital discovery and delivery. Four of these distinguished presenters include: * Dr. Anne J. Gilliland (keynote speaker), Professor, Information Studies and Moving Image Archive Studies, and Chair of the Department of Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles * Maureen Whalen, Associate General Counsel for the J. Paul Getty Trust * Dr. John Falk, Sea Grant Professor in Free-Choice Learning, Oregon State University * Kristine Brancolini, Dean of University Libraries, Loyola Marymount University The Forum is designed to offer a relatively small, intimate setting where participants can share knowledge and create networks with other organizations. Join us for keynotes, panels, and small group discussions at the Getty. This is a good educational opportunity for librarians, archivists, and museum staff who are charged with creating digital access to collections. *********Register now for the OCLC Digital Forum West.************ <http://www.oclc.org/western/digitalforum/default.htm> To contact OCLC Digital Programs, please call 1-800-848-5878, ext. 4041, or e-mail [log in to unmask] .
