Jennifer, you might also look at the Artists Books Online website http://www.artistsbooksonline.org/index.html, initiated by Johanna Drucker at the University of Virginia. She is very much interested in creating standardized metadata for artists' books. You might want to contact her directly as well, and I believe there is a link on the website.
