Dear Colleagues,

The application deadline for the Worldwide Books Award for Publications has been extended for one more week until March 9, 2009. Please consider nominating yourself, ARLIS members you know, or whose work you have admired.

The Worldwide Books Award for Publications recognizes outstanding publications by ARLIS/NA individual members in librarianship or visual resources curatorship, and the arts. Recipients may receive awards ranging from a certificate of merit to a cash award of up to $1,500. The work must have been published during the 2007 or 2008 calendar year.

Remember this award could recognize multiple awardees.  Many winners in the past have produced work in art history or librarianship, but any scholarly project is eligible. Complete guidelines and an application form are available on the ARLIS/NA awards page: http://www.arlisna.org/about/awards/awards_index.html  Feel free to contact Stephanie or me with questions or ideas.

Sincerely,

Research Awards Committee co-chairs:
