I think we are all comfortable with ULAN and AAT having different ref ids, but the separate numbers for the appendix was what was confusing. Having them all officially in ULAN as recognized terms with their own ULAN numbers is a wonderful achievement. It was always awkward having to use either the appendix numbers, or the AAT style numbers, which didn't seem appropriate for the Creation context.

Subject: [ARLIS-L] ULAN Unknown Artists

From Patricia Harpring:

Thank you for the fast response, Eileen! Later today (March 2), yes, all of the ULAN unknowns (based on Nationality values) will be live (in an hour, at 1 pm Pacific time, 4 pm Eastern). All will have a valid and persistent ULAN ID beginning with "5". Is that what you were asking?

If you were asking if all IDs will be the same across all three data sets: The AAT IDs and the ULAN Nationality table IDs will not change. It would be impossible to make all three sets of terms have the same ID, because each has different requirements and each must be unique in and of itself. A programmer could map all three for you, however.
