Of all the social events at the ARLIS/NA conference which one offers the thrill of bidding on handmade jewelry, a cornucopia of regional gifts, or a stack of art books? Which event holds out the promise of a prize to the fearless and persistent bidder? And which event offers attendees the opportunity to contribute to the society's internship, travel award, and speaker funds? Why, the Silent Auction, of course!
Thanks to everyone who has contacted me so far about donations. If you are planning to donate an item and haven't gotten around to it yet, there is still plenty of time.
