The ARLIS/Texas-Mexico chapter is proud to announce its
selection of Nicole Davis as the 2007 recipient of the Lois Swan Jones
Professional Development Award. It is through generous individual donations
that the chapter is able to offer this annual prize in honor of Lois Swan
Jones. The purpose of this award is to support and encourage the participation
of a Texas-Mexico chapter member by helping defray conference expenses. This
year's award provides $500.00 toward expenses incurred at the upcoming ARLIS/NA
national conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, 2009.
In keeping with the eligibility criteria of the award,
Nicole Davis is a member in good standing of both ARLIS/NA and
ARLIS/Texas-Mexico chapter, and she expects to receive no funding from her
institution.
Congratulations to Nicole Davis and a special thanks to
all of the chapter members who have contributed to make this award possible
this year.
Now is the time to start building our fund for next
year. Please consider supporting this worthy cause or asking your institution
to consider donating to the Lois Swan Jones Award fund. You can send donations
to the ARLIS/Texas/Mexico chapter's treasurer:
