We keep the DVDs in jewel cases behind the circulation desk and the original cases in the stacks (we also have VHS and all are intershelved). Our users like to browse the collection. When they check out a DVD we shelve the original case behind the desk and they take home the DVD in the jewel case. Bar codes go on the jewel cases.
