The ARLIS/SE Professional Development Travel Award committee is please to announce that Kathy Edwards has been selected as the inaugural recipient for this award.  The Award's purpose is to cultivate a talented, dedicated, and educated group of professionals for the ARLIS/NA organization as well as the ARLIS/SE chapter.  Funds from this award will be used to pay for Ms. Edwards' travel, lodging, registration and meals associated with professional development activities at the annual ARLIS/NA conference.  More information about the award may be found here: http://www.arlis-se.org/TravelAward.html

While Kathy has been a member of ARLIS/NA since 2007, she is a new member of ARLIS/SE.  She brings an extensive academic background in material culture studies, urban social history, and the history of the built environment to her current position of Art & Architecture Reference Librarian at Clemson University’s Emery A. Gunnin Architecture Library. 

Please join the ARLIS/SE chapter in welcoming Kathy to her first ARLIS/NA conference in Indianapolis.
