A reunion honoring Betty Jo (B.J.) Irvine will be held from 8-10 p.m. on
Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at the 37th Annual Conference of the Art
Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) in Indianapolis. B.J.
served as the Head of the Fine Arts Library at Indiana University for 41
years before her retirement in 2007. In addition to providing formal
instruction in the Seminar in Art Librarianship and Research Sources in
Art History courses, she also mentored dozens of students, employees, and
co-workers throughout their professional careers.
The Indiana Reunion honoring Betty Jo Irvine is being billed for "all
Irvinites - former students, employees, associates, IU alums, etc." The
reunion will feature refreshments, good fellowship, and a slide show of days
gone by. All Irvinites are requested to submit digital copies of their
"Indiana days" pictures for the slide show to Kristen Mastel.
Deadline for photo submissions is April 10th.
Interested ARLIS/NA attendees are encouraged to register for the reunion as
a part of their conference registration:
