The two events are different and separate entities - and still in activities. Next Triennial will be in 2011 and the forthcoming Biennale will be in 2009, from May 1st to May 31st.

Catalogues for both events are - and where - published.

The Triennial catalogue - English or French version - is still available. It's "Nothing is Lost, Nothing is Created, Everything is Transformed: The Québec Triennial 2008" by Josée Bélisle, Paulette Gagnon, Mark Lanctôt and Pierre Landry.- 216 pp 150 col ill.,11 x 8.5 cm. (softcover), ISBN 9782551236725.- $39.95 CAD (or 42.95 USD or 32 Euros). More infos at the main Canadian distributor of the MACM catalogues [url].

For the Biennal, the latest catalogue - bilingual - from 2007 looks like it's still available from the organizer of the event, Centre international d'art contemporain de Montréal (CIAC-[url]). The title of the catalogue is "Remuer ciel et terre".

Is the Quebec Triennial a new name for the Montreal Biennial?  Or are they two separate events?  Did the Montreal Biennial ever put out exhibition catalogs?  Is there a catalog for the Quebec Triennial (1st, 2008)?  Thanks, in advance, for your help with this.  Ray Anne Lockard
