Greetings ARLIS/NA members! Along with all the
thought-provoking sessions, informative workshops, and enlightening meetings at
the annual conference in Indianapolis, we will again hold a Silent Auction to
benefit the society. Perhaps you’ve spent the winter hours toiling away
on an item for the event? The art-making, knitting, jewelry designing, and
creative skills of those who donate handmade items are always appreciated. Not
the crafty kind? Books, bags, objets d’art, and the show-stopping chapter
gift baskets are also highlights of the auction.
On the conference web site, you’ll find the donation
form and more information about the event. http://www.indiana.edu/~indycon/silentauction.html
Here are the basics:
Donating: Send in the donation form by Friday,
April 17. Ship items by Friday, April 10 or drop them off at the Conference
Registration Desk by Friday, April 17 at 5pm.
Viewing: Items will be displayed in the
exhibits hall beginning Saturday morning, April 18.
Bidding: View items on display Saturday,
April 18, while the exhibits hall is open, 10:30am – 1pm. Place your bids
Saturday afternoon between 2pm and 7pm. The Silent Auction Finale begins on
Sunday, April 19, at 9:30am.
Winning: Winners must pick up their items and
drop off payment by Monday, April 20, at 5pm.
Look for updates on ARLIS-l and a gallery of auction items
on the conference web site in the weeks leading up to the conference. Until
then, if you have any questions please contact Amy Trendler, Silent Auction
Committee Chair, at [log in to unmask]
