Dear ARLIS/NA members: The contract with our current management firm, McPherson Clarke, ends on April 30. ARLIS/NA Board members Ted Goodman, Treasurer; Heidi Hass, Secretary-Elect; Amy Lucker, Vice President/President-Elect, and I are in the process of interviewing three candidates to serve as our new association management firm. The meetings are taking place in New York at The Metropolitan Museum this week. I hope to announce a new management firm for ARLIS/NA by the end of this month, and we are planning to introduce a representative of the new management firm at the Indianapolis Conference. Our contract with the new firm will begin on May 1, 2009. We are seeking a management services firm that can provide solid administrative, financial and technological support for ARLIS/NA. Providing effective and efficient service that will be immediately apparent to the ARLIS/NA membership is a priority. We received expressions of interest from more than 20 association management firms and are confident that we have three solid candidates. Amy Lucker has taken the lead in preparing the RFPs, and I would like to thank her and all members of the board for participating in this important process. With all best wishes for the New Year, Ken Ken Soehner President, ARLIS/NA Arthur K. Watson Chief Librarian Thomas J.
