SCAD-Savannah seeks qualified applicants for the head of reference services position. The person in this position oversees all reference functions at the Jen Library. Main responsibilities include supervising and scheduling the reference staff, participating in the assessment and development of library services, and preparing and providing bibliographic instruction, library orientation and research workshops. The position requires an M.L.S. degree from an ALA-accredited program, an undergraduate degree and/or graduate degree in a subject discipline taught at SCAD, and strong public service orientation and experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Must be familiar with traditional and electronic information resources and demonstrate working knowledge of effective search strategies and innovation in library instruction.
