Stanford University seeks individual to play a central role in the strategic planning and program development in the Visual Resources Center of the Art & Architecture Library.  You will help explore ways to expand the digital collection development/delivery role beyond the traditional imagery associated with art history and assist the staff in planning a multi-media laboratory research and instructional environment.

 

Requires Bachelor's in the Humanities or IT, 5+ years in academic computing and technology project management, preferably in the Humanities, and expert digital imaging skills, specifically Adobe™ Photoshop. Experience developing and managing relational database applications (e.g. mySQL, postgreSQL, Oracle) essential, along with expert knowledge of Windows and Macs, experience with UNIX and expertise in managing multimedia resources including film, slides and digital images/video in a networked, multi-user environment. Experience developing web sites using graphics, audio and video resources also necessary, as are excellent time/project management, interpersonal, teaching and communication skills.
