Our exhibit team is planning an Abraham Lincoln show next year and my boss asked me to track down a wood engraving (block, plate?) of a Civil War scene from Harper's (preferably an image of A. L.) that we can borrow. I've determined that Harpers is owned by Hearst Corporation, so his suggestion about finding a Harper's archive is tricky. I've looked at thier webpage and googled and done literature searches.
