Dear ARLIS-L, One of our faculty has asked me to find out if William McDonough was really the first person to say that "Design is the first sign[al] of human intention." I've found it attributed to McDonough many times, but it certainly sounds like it could be a slight re-working of someone else's words. I've Googled my head off and won't be able to really look into this for a couple weeks. Does this ring an immediate bell with anyone? Thanks in advance, Sara ---------- Sara J.
