Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Martha González Palacios to the position of Architecture & Planning Librarian, University of Texas at Austin.  She has arrived just in time to welcome in the fall semester.  Martha brings a remarkable combination of experiences to this position that support reference, library instruction and the development of collections.

Martha comes to us from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver where she served as a library liaison.  She has also worked in various library-related positions at the University of British Columbia, Burnaby Public Library, and the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.  Before entering librarianship she worked as an architect in Mexico.
