If you have been putting off ordering the limited edition Artist's book
The
Philosophy of Umbrellas I produced as von Hess Visiting Artist
at at the Borowsky Center for Publication Arts at The University of the
Arts, this is a gentle reminder that there are just ten days left of
the introductory period before the September 1 price increase (which
will be 50%, per the terms of the agreement with the University).
If you haven't seen it, this book is in the form of an umbrella, in honor
of the 30th anniversary of Judith Hoffberg's wonderful publication named
Umbrella. Judith championed the cause of Artists' Books, Book
Arts, and related activities when few others cared or had even heard of
this genre, and has provided the only continuous documentation of the
movement.
If your fiscal year begins September 1 and you have remaining funds from
this year that need to be spent by August 31, or you need to pay after
September 1 because all this year's funds are gone, ARLIS members' orders
will be accommodated at the introductory price if placed by August
31.
