Hello-

In planning for the annual Southeast Chapter Conference at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota (www.ringling.org) , I am finding that I need a general idea of attendance.  Could you let me know if you are planning to attend the conference and what your preference in hotels would be?   We are also planning a Weds. Nov. 5th evening talk and book signing at the Historic Asolo Theater, featuring Dan Gediman, the producer of NPRs “This I believe” at a nominal charge ($10-15), although the fee is relative to the number of participants.  Please see attached Tentative Schedule.

The hotels we have chosen are within 10-15 minutes of the airport:

The Hilton Garden Inn at $109.00 per night.  It is less than a mile from the Museum.

http://www.hiltongardeninn.com/en/gi/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=SRQNBGI

and:

The Hyatt Regency Sarasota at $169.00 (special reduced conference rate) per night.  It is located within walking distance of downtown, but 3 miles from the Museum.

The reason why I am asking is that I must guarantee the reserved rooms at the Hyatt; if we don’t use all that I reserve, we have to pay 80% of the room rate for the rooms not used.  So, I need a firm count very soon.

So, I need to know how many would want to go to the Hyatt, how many to the Hilton, and how many are interested in the “This I Believe”  talk.

I have included a tentative schedule below:
