Hi Bill et al,  Deep in my dark museum-related past, I do remember that the 
weight of a particular sculpture was an issue and was known.  I don't recall 
now whether it was in Cleveland or St. Louis, but probably the latter. 
Certainly for installation and whether floors will bear weight, I imagine 
that the weight of many sculptures must be calculated.  However, I wonder 
whether this information routinely makes it onto the objects' records.   Ann
