I'm pleased to announce that the Ryerson & Burnham Libraries at the Art Institute of Chicago will be expanding public hours after Labor Day. The new hours will be as follows: Tuesday 12:00-5:00 Wednesday 12:00-5:00 Thursday 12:00-8:00 Friday 12:00-5:00 Saturday 10:00-5:00 (between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends) The increase in open hours is supported by a generous gift from Mary Lackritz Gray, a member of the Trustee Committee on Libraries and the author most recently of A Guide to Chicago's Murals (University of Chicago Press, 2001).
