Hello, art librarians,

Could anyone tell me how to describe Dr. Martin's dyes when listing media for wall text labels? Are they called concentrated watercolors or inks or should I list them as Dr. Martin's dyes? I have a wonderful collection of vintage Sesame Street book art illustrations, most from the 1970s and many done in Dr. Martin's dyes or gouache. We've framed a selection and I would like to describe them accurately.

Thanks very much for your help.
