I heard from several people far more knowledgeable about maces than I am, and I appreciate the sharing very much.  Ashoka Arts has graciously supplied the perfect bull’s head mace (see attachment). The mace is from Persia, Qajar period, 19th century, steel construction damascened with silver, according to Stefan at Ashoka.
