Hello-

Our faculty is looking for an art terms reference that all of our entering students would be required to purchase. Does anyone have suggestions on good art terms print sources that you use at your institution? We are currently looking at Thames & Hudson Dictionary of Art Terms, The handbook of art and design terms and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms.

Also, I have heard that many institutions create their own art terms publication for in-house use by students and faculty. If your institution does this, could you give me any feedback as to why you decided to create your own and how this has worked at your institution?

Thanks-
