Sylvie Alix is Head of the Médiathèque at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, one of Canada’s largest libraries devoted to contemporary art.  She has written extensively on artists’ books.

 

Alain Depocas is Director of the Centre for Research and Documentation (CR+D) of the Daniel Langlois Foundation for art, science and technology.  He is editor of Permanence Through Change: The Variable Media Approach (2003), co-published with the Guggenheim Museum.

 

Martin Flynn is Head of Access at the Word and Image Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.  He is a member of the IFLA Section of Art Libraries Committee.

 

Jonathan Franklin is Chief of the National Gallery of Canada Library, Archives and Research Fellowships.  His publications include the award-winning Index to Nineteenth Century Canadian Catalogues of Art (2004). 

 

John Latour is an Information Specialist at Artexte, a pioneering information centre for the visual arts, founded in Montreal in 1980.  He is an active visual artist, whose recent solo exhibition, Chimérique (2007) featured sculpture, text-based art and photography.

 

Danielle Léger is special collections librarian at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, responsible for heritage collections, including artists’ books, livre-objets, graphzines, limited editions with original works of art and fine bindings.

 

Felicity Tayler  is an Information Specialist at Artexte.  She is a visual artist as well as researcher and art librarian, and has contributed articles on artist-run centres to Art Libraries Journal and Art Documentation. 

 

Joye Volker is Chief Librarian at the National Gallery of Australia.  She is a member of the IFLA Section of Art Libraries Committee.

Sylvie Alix est responsable de la Médiathèque du Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, l’une des plus grandes bibliothèques canadiennes consacrées à l’art contemporain. Elle est l’auteur de nombreux ouvrages sur les livres d’artistes.

 

Alain Depocas est directeur du Centre de recherche et de documentation (CR+D) de la Fondation Daniel Langlois pour l’art, la science et la technologie. Il est l’un des rédacteurs de la publication L’approche des médias variable : la permanence par le changement (2003), publiée en collaboration avec le Guggenheim Museum.

 

Jonathan Franklin est bibliothécaire en chef, Bibliothèque, Archives et Programme de bourses de recherche du Musée des beaux-arts du Canada. Il a écrit plusieurs livres dont le livre primé  Index des catalogues d’art parus au Canada au XIXe siècle (2004).

 

John Latour est spécialiste de l’information au centre d’information sur les arts visuels, Artexte, fondé à Montréal en 1980. Il est aussi un artiste visuel dont la récente exposition individuelle Chimérique (2007) présentait une sélection de sculptures, d’art textuel et de photographies.

 

Danielle Léger est spécialiste des collections, Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. Elle est responsable de la collection patrimoniale incluant des livres d’artistes, des livres-objets, des livres illustrés d’œuvres originales et des éditions à tirage limité, et des reliures d’art.

 

Felicity Tayler  est spécialiste de l’information chez Artexte. Elle est aussi artiste, chercheur et bibliothécaire d’art. Elle a écrit des articles sur les centres d’artistes autogérés qui sont parus dans Art Libraries Journal et Art Documentation.

 

Joye Volker est Chief Librarian à la National Gallery of Australia. Elle est membre du Section of Art Libraries Committee de l’IFLA.
