I have a researcher who wants to use a 1926 cover of “Life” for a non-profit theater education guide.  He contacted Life for permission and was told that Judge Magazine holds the copyright for all Life properties before 1936.  The only thing I can find out about Judge is that it was published by Judge Publishing Company in New York, and seems to have continued to print throughout the 1930s.  Does anyone know who I should send this person to next or who owns the rights to their images?

Thanks very much,

Rachael
