ARLIS/Southern California would like to announce the 2008 winner of
ARLIS/SC's Student Travel Award. This year's recipient is Shilpa Rele.
Shilpa is a second year MLIS student at UCLA and the recipient of the
2007-2008 ARLIS/NA Internship Award.
ARLIS/SC is proud to be able to support Shilpa in attending her first
ARLIS/NA conference where she will be receiving her award. Shilpa's
education, which includes a Master's degree in Art History from the
University of Minnesota and another in History from the University of
Bombay in India, demonstrates her dedication to the subject of Art. At
the conference, she plans to attend sessions that will explore issues of
digital preservation and visual information retrieval, and to discuss
these topics with professionals in the field.
Congratulations to Shilpa and we thank all of the applicants who applied
for the award this year!
