The conference session "What’s Hot & What’s Not: Trends in Technologies
and Services in Libraries" will be held on Sunday, May 4, 11am-12:30
pm. There are 3 terrific speakers scheduled and the conference session
will be augmented by virtual posters, including:

Introducing New Technologies through Collaboration
The Library as Experience; Interactive Components in an Architecture
Library
University of Minnesota Digital Content Library: Collaborating and
Sharing Across Disciplines for the Common Good
Virtual Voice: The Art Library Blog
Web2.0 for Color Theory
Targeted Instruction: A Staffing Solution for Coaching New Digital Image
Users
Next Generation OPACS: Current Practices & Future Opportunities for Art
Libraries

The beauty of virtual posters is that they offer more flexibility for
presenters. If you can't attend the conference, you can participate,
virtually. If you missed the deadline for poster proposal submission,
but have a really innovative idea to share with your colleagues, it's
not too late to get involved.

Virtual poster sessions (url or ppt file) may describe an innovative
library program, analyze a problem and its new and/or creative solution,
and/or report research findings. To apply, email your proposal by April
1 to Joan Stahl, session moderator ([log in to unmask]). Your proposal must
include:

Your Name, Position Title, Institutional Affiliation, Email
Title of Poster Session
Abstract (150 words or less)
Poster Link (only needed if your presentation is posted to another URL):

Notification of additional selected virtual poster sessions will be sent
on or before April 5, 2008.

The guidelines have been posted to the Virtual Poster Sessions blog at
http://arlisnamw.wordpress.com/virtual-poster-sessions/.
